The Kings of Herts Chorus

HARPENDEN BARBERSHOP HARMONY CLUB

Ever see a movie where a squadron gathers round a piano and bursts into song? Just like barbershop,

after rehearsals. Piano not needed.

We call it Afterglow. Come and join in!

... at rehearsals

We warm up and dissect a few songs, polish and reassemble them. Midway we exchange news; and after a bit over two hours, we wet our whistles and enjoy

some Afterglow.

... in classes

Now and again we hold free

6-week BABS-approved group classes for newcomers. Their success is ours too - we swell our numbers with new friends.

Click Learning on the navbar.

... in private

We’ll sing at your family celebration or harmonise for the masses at your charity concert. We play corporate and

society functions, too.

... in public

We play at seasonal turn-outs in pubs and at fetes, and on-stage.

In our 2009 concert, TOP RIGHT

4 Kings, aka 4 bankers, paid tribute to a Mr Jackson.

CENTRE RIGHT Welwyn Harmony ladies were just that with us Kings. BELOW Phoenix Blues Band thrashed out a set, with King Ben Falkiner on drums.

BOTTOM RIGHT Alison Stephens died young. In our concert,  we remember her as she plucked our heartstrings, as she did on the soundtrack of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin.

Vocal at BABS’ Convention in Harr-ogate; in 2012, we’re at Southport.

In September 2011, joining with other groups, we raised roofs around Salzburg.

We sing in 4-part harmony ...

Denis from Kings of Herts and Pen from Welwyn Harmony hit the high notes in Austria. To see more, click Visits, above. -  And to join us next time, click Contacts.
