The Kings Of Herts Chorus were formed in Harpenden in 1984 and in 2024 we celebrated our 40th year anniversary with a wonderful event in the town.  We are a mixed but mainly male chorus singing four-part close harmony. With roots in classic barbershop style, we sing a wide range of music and have a broad repertoire with songs from film, musical theatre, folk, pop and even sea shanties! We are full of ordinary people from all walks of life who love to sing in close harmony and enjoy creating a unique and wonderful sound for our audiences to enjoy. We don't take ourselves too seriously and the focus of our rehearsals is fun and learning

We regularly sing at local events for charity and social gatherings such as parties and weddings - plus often at the pub - if we have been booked or not!!!

We absolutely love to see visitors. (There’s nothing like singing to an audience...however small). Whether you just want to sit and listen or join in and have a sing with us. We always finish with a beer or a glass of wine

and some informal singing which is great fun. If you are an experienced singer or perhaps thinking of having a go or just fancy a nice evening out we would make you very welcome.
